Andrew Bucknill

Andrew Bucknill is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in hip and knee surgery, including joint preserving surgery of the hip and knee


In the hip this includes proximal femoral, acetabular osteotomy, surgery for femoro-acetabular impingement and hip arthroscopy.


In the knee this includes osteotomy, Autologous Chondrocyte Implantation and Arthroscopy.


Other areas of particular interest include muscle sparing and minimally invasive joint replacement and computer aided surgery.


With regard to trauma surgery Andrew Bucknill has a specific interest in Pelvic and Acetabular trauma as well as computer aided surgery.


These interests were first developed during training in North and West London, including a fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.


Andrew Bucknill is currently researching new developments in these fields at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia.
